Bio
I began teaching in 2004. I taught middle school for 8 years before coming to MGM in 2013. I became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2018. In 2018, I was recently named Alabama High School Science Teacher of the Year by the Alabama Science Teachers Association (ASTA). I earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Howard University in 1995 and a Master of Education in Secondary General Science Education from the University of South Alabama in 2004. I am currently working on a certificate in Educational Leadership from the University of West Alabama and plan to complete it in the summer of 2021. My beautiful family consists of four children, two precious grandchildren, and long-haired Chihuahua named Mario. I enjoy being with my family and listening to TobyMac.
