This week’s activity focused on one of the students’ all-time favorites in Mrs. Touchstones Forensic Science class— learning the proper process for collecting, packaging, and documenting evidence. Forensic Science students did an incredible job investigating the case, carefully gathering and analyzing evidence to determine where Mr. Higginbotham met his demise.👏💀 #ForensicScience #VikingForensics #SkolVikes #HandsOnLearning

MGM Multicultural Club members volunteered at the annual Greek Fest recently. Students had a great time helping out with various festival activities while experiencing the rich culture, traditions, and food that make this event so special. Opportunities like this allow our students to step outside the classroom, connect with people from different backgrounds, and gain a deeper appreciation for the diverse cultures that surround them. It’s important that our students learn about their community and recognize the valuable role they can play in making a difference every day.

🎓 Jag Day at the University of South Alabama! 🐾
Around 100 of our seniors spent the day experiencing college life at USA’s Jag Day! Students explored campus organizations, learned about different majors, and had plenty of fun along the way. They even got a taste of campus life by dining in the cafeteria and touring a residence hall. A huge thank you to the University of South Alabama staff for making this day so special for our students. We wrapped up the visit with a stop at Hancock Whitney Stadium — and of course, a photo op with the one and only South Paw! ❤️💙🐾🐾

Our Academy Ambassadors attended district ambassador training with Ambassadors from other MCPSS schools. Ambassadors from across the district came together to share ideas, build connections, and talk about what real leadership looks like. It was powerful to watch them open up to one another, finding common ground, celebrating differences, and realizing they’re all part of something bigger. A huge thank you to Dr. Billingsley and the USA team for your partnership and for creating a space where our students can grow and shine.
