Look What We Made! 🧵🐟✨
Our very first Textile Club meeting was a HUGE success, and I couldn’t be more proud of these students! 💕
For Lesson 1, we made Lucky Fish! 🐟 Students learned how to:
✂️ Cut out a pattern
🎨 Choose their own fabric
✂️ Cut their fabric
🧵 Stitch their project
🧸 Stuff and finish their Lucky Fish
And let me tell you…they did an AMAZING job! Watching them choose their fabrics, learn new skills, and see their projects come to life was so much fun. 🥰
I’ve had a few questions about the club, so here are the answers:
🧵 Textile Club is COMPLETELY FREE!
There are NO fees to participate.
🧵 Missed our first meeting? THAT’S OKAY!
You can absolutely still join us! You did not miss your chance to be part of the fun.
🧵 Who can join?
EVERYONE IS WELCOME! No experience is needed—just come ready to learn, create, and have some fun!
📅 Every Thursday
⏰ 3:00–4:00 PM
📍 Room 601
Come join us and let’s see what you can create! 🧵🪡❤️

🧵 CALLING ALL MGM STUDENTS! 🧵
I have been absolutely blown away by the generosity of our community! ❤️ Our Textile Club has already received **so many donations of fabric, notions, sewing supplies, and sewing machines**, and I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped us get started.
Now, it’s time to call on the students! 📣
**You do NOT need any experience.** You don’t have to know how to sew, crochet, embroider, needle punch, or macramé. You don’t have to consider yourself “creative.”
**All you need is a desire to learn and make something.** 🧵❤️
Our main focus this year will be **SEWING**, but we’ll also explore other textile arts along the way. Whether you’ve always wanted to learn how to use a sewing machine, want to make something with your own hands, or simply want a place to create, relax, and try something new…
**Textile Club is for YOU!**
📅 **Interest Meeting: Thursday, August 20th**
⏰ **3:00–4:00 PM**
📍 **Room 601**
👩🏫 **with Mrs. Raiford**
**No experience needed. Just a desire will do.** ❤️
Come join us, learn something new, and let’s make something beautiful together! 🪡🧶✂️

Girls interested in applying for Azalea Trail Maid, please see the graphic with information.

Students interested in participating in the Bowling team should see Coach Greene in the gym. 🎳🖤🩵

Please see the graphic indicating student drop off and pick up information and routes. THERE ARE NO OTHER LOCATIONS FOR DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP.
Students may NOT be dropped off or picked up in the BACK parking lot OR on the bus ramp- that causes traffic jams and safety hazards.
During the afternoon pick up, please make sure you PARK in a parking spot in the gym parking lot, wait on your student, and then follow the flow of traffic to exit the parking lot. No one should be waiting in the aisles or on the curbs for their students. This creates traffic jams and safety hazards
