Bio

I began teaching in 2019. I received my bachelor's degree in Biology from Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania and continued on to complete my master's degree in Education. I grew up in coastal New Jersey, so I love being near the water again here in southern Alabama! I moved to Pennsylvania to complete my undergraduate and graduate degrees at Albright College. While still finishing up my thesis for my master's degree, I moved to Sacramento, CA to be a Team Leader with AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps. I spent the next year leading a team on different community service projects across the west coast including desert restoration in Joshua Tree National Park, community gardening in Laramie, Wyoming, and public space improvements in Nevada and Oregon. I loved the program so much, I joined for another year, this time as a community relations Team Leader in Denver, CO. I spent the year working on recruitment and press conferences and also helped with disaster relief during the 2016 flooding in Louisiana. After my time in AmeriCorps, I moved to Toulouse, France to be an Au Pair (nanny) to 3 little kids. I spent 2 years learning French and traveling Europe before moving to Mobile, AL. I love traveling, reading, practicing languages, cooking, and baking (I'm obsessed with the Great British Bake Off!). I love animals of all kinds and my dream dog is a golden retriever.
