Ms. Byrd began her teaching career in 2002 as a substitute teacher. In 2005, she began teaching full time as a Special Education Teacher. She has taught for 10 years in special education and over 6 years in general education wearing many diverse hats, specializing in data. She also trained half a school year in Administration Leadership at Mary G. Montgomery. She has earned her Master’s Degree in Collaborative Education from the University of South Alabama and obtained Certification in Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama. She enjoys writing, reading, ballroom dancing, learning new skill sets, singing, and music.
