Top: Girls
Grade 9- solid black polo style shirt with long or short sleeves. Grade 10- 12 Oxford or Polo style shirts with long or short sleeves. Shirts must stay buttoned at all times. Shirts may have embroidered "MGM" on the pocket. Shirts must remain tucked into his/her pants at the natural waist even when the student bends over. Undershirts must be solid white or black. Undershirts must be solid white or black. Teams/organizations must wear the same shirt on game day or events. School spirit shirts may be worn on Friday only!
Bottom: Girls
Khaki/tan full- length pants. Shorts/capris, cargo or carpenter pants are not allowed. Pants must be hemmed, not rolled, cut, or torn. Sagging pants are not allowed. Loops, zippers, pockets or drawstrings on the sides or thighs areas of the pants are prohibited. Jeans or denim pants are prohibited. Pants may not be tucked into footwear.
Top: Boys

Belt
If a belt is worn it must be BLACK or BROWN.
Shoes
Shoes must be Black, Brown, Navy, White or Gray. No bright neon-like colored shoes or laces are allowed. Shoes must be closed toed and closed back. Shoes must have a heel. No slippers.
Outerwear
No trench coats, denim or camouflaged jackets. No button-up, polo, or other type shirt will be allowed to be worn as outerwear. No outerwear will be allowed tied around the waist. School issued outerwear must be approved by the principal. No outerwear or clothing with other school logos is allowed. Jackets with hoods can be worn but the hood cannot be worn on the head. Hats or visors are not allowed on Campus.
Additional Notes
Female students with religious affiliations prohibiting them from wearing pants must have a letter on file to wear skirts. The skirt must be khaki/tan and the hem must be lower than the knee. No splits in the skirt above the knee. All Mary G. Montgomery High School Students are expected to observe the basic standards of cleanliness, modesty, pride, good judgment and good grooming. Clothing should fit modestly and be worn appropriately by all students. Student dress that is disruptive to the educational program and school environment is not permitted. Hair: No disruptive hair styles will be allowed. Students must have natural human hair colors only. Jewelry/Accessories: Piercing is allowed in student’s ears only. NO WALLET CHAINS ARE ALLOWED. There should be NO spiked collars or wrist bands worn. Students may not wear sweatbands or arm sock (sleeves). Hats: No hats or visors are allowed on campus inside or outside. No bandannas, wraps, wave caps or scarves are allowed. Nothing should be worn that covers a student’s head. The school is not responsible for confiscated items. ***Students must be in uniform to attend class. This rule is a Mobile County Public School System Board Policy. It is encouraged that parents be notified of students who are out of uniform so the parent has the opportunity to bring what is necessary to the student to be in compliance with the policy. Uniform infractions hinder the ability of school personnel and other students from identifying an MGM Student.
